Knowledge speaks but wisdom listens and ignorance is bliss.

It is this combination of quotes that explain my life.
Why I never shut up, I know too much, I don't even know how or why,
Sometimes I ramble on about something I've only just started to form.
I'm only just about to start grasping the concept, yet all I say is true,
I don't know how my mind works, but I know it can vex you.

I never shut up, because I just know so much,
I always have to be right, purely because I am right.
I have and had some weird hobbies, learning things people don't,
I have to say it's quite fun, knowing what others don't.
But you see, ignorance is bliss, and as I know more and more, I become more cynical.

I used to be a Christian, you know, devoutly religious.
Inside every cynical person, there is, however broken and damned, an idealist.
I was an idealist of religion, then I managed to work out the universe itself,
And you know what came with that knowledge? Heart breaking reality.
There is no God, or even a Goddess. There is just the universe.

This endless creator, this maker, this is what is around us.
But with this realisation comes another - there is no purpose,
And now I come to you, a broken idealist, a cynical revolutionary.
I tell you - There is no God.
And you laugh at me.

"I tell you - There is no God. And you laugh at me."
"I always have to be right, purely because I am right."
I love those lines, they are simple, but say all they need to say. The piece shows a lot of insight, especially with the admittance that you don't know exactly why you do what you do.
Very nice though :icondragonnodplz:
Which part is :iconlunesra:'s? Just out of general curiosity.

The "Inside every cynical person is an idealist" it's her signature :)
I took it and altered it a little.

This is very deep, I really like the concept although I find it a bit obstinate about things in general

I like this alot...I guess you could say I used to be Christian, and part of me still is I guess. But I looked into Buddhist practices and everything made a bit more sense...Now I try to meditate when I can, especially when I need to calm down, and I try to look at things from several perspectives before I react....I enjoyed this piece very much and the first line is just utter perfection

:) It's a very nice poem, flowing with vivid ideas. I used to be Christian too. Way back when. Then everything broke apart, and now I'm a weirdo with her own little religion that no one understands :D

^_^ Stick by your beliefs, and welcome back.

I shrug at you. So what if there is no God? That means everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen is under the control of nobody but ourselves. Seriously, I could rant about how the existence of God doesn't really matter to me. Though it does mean that a few 'sheep' will be set adrift, and probably some maniacs will create their own religion, probably worshiping themselves or a 'deity' they control the words of, but really. There is no purpose? Does this mean one needs a God to inform them of their destiny, fate, what they were made for? Can we not do that ourselves, can we not decide what it is we will do with our lives?

Sorry, but I'm just...tired and annoyed whenever religion comes up. I don't care about God, I care about your morals and beliefs, other than believing in God. Like, do you believe in equality? That everyone has the right to certain things like shelter, food, and water, and education, a good job, happiness? That nobody has the right to take another's happiness? That is what I care about in a person. Not what God they believe in.
Again, sorry for my ranting ramble...

By the way, I adore that first line. It's a very true combination of quotes that is in itself a quote =)
